Slaters Electricals New Facility

Exciting news… we’ve purchased another facility!

The 26,000 sq ft facility is close to our head office and main factory in Blaydon and will be primarily used for:

A dedicated manufacturing area for our popular range of containerised substations/E-Houses/prefabricated solutions.

Additional storage for our large stock of equipment available for purchase or hire, including transformers, switchgear and containerised substations.

A logistics holding area for large orders of custom-made new transformers for projects such as solar, battery storage & large industrial developments.

The facility will be extensively upgraded before becoming operational, including uprated overhead cranes, a container painting area, electrical & security upgrades and a complete overhaul of staff welfare facilities.

The new facility increases our total available working area in Blaydon by 30% to 114,000 sq ft. The additional space will allow us to improve operations at our main factory, creating room for enhanced working, test and inspection areas serviced by our 20T crane.

This will allow our team to work on more projects simultaneously, especially as demand for large distribution transformers and small-medium power transformers increases.

Jamie Slater, Managing Director said: “This is a significant development for the business and will help realise strategic objectives. We are seeing a healthy increase in business year-on-year and the purchase of an additional facility will enable us to continue to meet evolving customer requirements.”

We look forward to officially opening the new facility in September.
