11kV Switchboard Extensions

Your 11kV distribution switchboard was a major investment, however power requirements change over time. If you need to add extra outgoing circuits, or even a new incomer, you do not need to replace your entire switchboard.

We supply & install extension panels and circuit breakers for all common UK installed 11kV switchgear types, refurbished and re-wired to suit your system requirements, with protection & metering to your specification and a 36-month warranty.

For complex extensions, space limitations, or if compatible switchgear is not available, we have extensive experience of engineering switchgear transition chambers (joggle chambers)

11kV Circuit Breaker Replacement or Retrofit

If an individual circuit breaker is proving troublesome or you wish to replace/upgrade some or all of the circuit breakers on your switchboard for a different insulating medium, fault rating or mechanism type, we supply replacement or retrofit circuit breakers for all common UK 11kV switchgear types.

 

Refurbished South Wales HG12 SF6 Circuit Breakers to replace Client’s South Wales ‘C’ Range OCBs.

Replacement Circuit Breakers:

  • Refurbished circuit breakers with 36 month warranty
  • Oil, vacuum or SF6 insulated
  • Like-for-like replacement
  • Like-for-like replacement with upgrade (e.g. motor mechanism)
  • Replacement with compatible circuit breaker

Retrofit Circuit Breakers:

  • Replace legacy OCBs with brand new type-tested VCBs
