Consarc Engineering is an Inductotherm Group Company specialising in the design and manufacture of a wide range of advanced vacuum furnaces and controlled atmosphere furnaces for the processing of metals, speciality alloys, and engineered materials.
The Challenge:
We were brought on board by Consarc to provide HV and LV supply for the installation of two furnaces. Slaters has vast experience working with HV and LV supplies and with working in and around furnaces and foundry solutions.
The Solution:
Slaters Electricals supplied Consarc with the equipment and installed all HV cable works and containment from the main HV infrastructure down to the smallest control and data cabling.
There were considerable challenges along the way with the work carried out on strict HV permit systems due to working on High Voltage Networks and at height close to live crane tracks. As with all heavy industrial environments deadlines had to be met without compromising all the procedural, health and safety, and permit systems associated with this type of contract.
The outcome:
Our experience of working with Consarc on similar projects allowed them to work skilfully on site. The quality of the cabling and the installation work which were carried out were finished to the complete satisfaction of the customer, maintaining the good working relationship between both companies.
