Required for two separate development projects in the UK, the 12 solar specific transformers consisted of:
✅ 10 new 6.4MVA 33000/800V ONAN cooled Dyn11yn11 Tier 2 transformers
✅ 2 new 5.8MVA 33000/800V ONAN cooled Dyn11yn11 Tier 2 transformers
Our sales engineers worked with the developer to specify the custom-built transformers manufactured by our partners BEST Transformer.
Each unit features BEST’s Solarformer® technology, specifically engineered for utility-scale solar generation projects. They are designed for high efficiency, low life-cycle costs and to withstand severe harmonic and reactive loads typical of renewable energy integration.
Final assembly of the transformers took place in our Blaydon facility and our in-house transport team worked with the developer to arrange delivery to their sites in the West Midlands.
